Will the heat actually help me pump more milk?
Research shows that gentle warmth helps stimulate let-down and improve milk flow, similar to using a warm compress before pumping. Most mums notice better output and faster sessions.
Is it safe to use the heat on my breasts?
Yes. The Ember™ uses controlled, low-level heat designed specifically for sensitive breast tissue.
Can I wear it discreetly in public?
Yes. It’s completely hands-free, fits inside your bra, and runs quietly — no wires, no tubes, no attention.
Is it strong enough for exclusive pumping?
The Ember™ is designed to be both portable and powerful, so you can use it daily without needing a bulky traditional pump. The suction strength of the Ember™ is actually on the higher end of what is usually found within the wearable breast pump market and is strong enough for exclusive pumpers. However, we know every breast is different. Whilst some people successfully maintain and even increase their supply with correctly fitted wearables, others may not have the same experience. We always recommend tracking your output closely if you’re new to wearables, ensuring whether or not your breasts are responding well.
How long does the battery last?
You’ll get multiple pumping sessions per charge — typically 4 sessions when heating is on for the full duration of each session and up to 6 sessions if heating is only used partially during each session.
How often do I need to replace the pump parts?
Whilst it is recommended to change silicone pump parts (duck bill valve, diaphragm etc) on average every 2-3 months, this really varies depending on your level of usage. We recommend checking your pump parts regularly for things like tearing or stretching and replacing as needed or when you notice a loss of output/suction. Replacement parts can be ordered easily, directly from our spare parts listing.

I wasn’t expecting a huge difference because I’d already been using a wearable pump, but the Ember has completely changed my routine. I normally have a really slow let down, especially in the evenings, and the warmth seems to help almost immediately. I don’t feel like I’m sitting there waiting anymore. It’s also one of the few baby products my husband noticed because he commented that I seem much less frustrated after pumping now!
I spent almost my entire maternity leave using another wearable pump because I couldn’t justify buying another one. After constantly getting clogged ducts, I finally ordered the Ember after seeing the heating feature. I honestly wish I’d done it sooner. The warmth helps my milk start flowing much quicker and I feel properly emptied after every session now. I’ve been using it for just over a month and haven’t looked back. Easily one of the best baby purchases I’ve made.
